Francesco Bagnaia was “embarrassed” from what he saw Marquez do at the Thai Grand Prix

Ducati dominated the 2025 season in Thailand. Marc Marquez ordered the field throughout the weekend as he claimed his first red win.

Francesco Bagnaia’s teammate sacrificed very little in the battle with the Spaniard. Marquez claimed Pole’s position, Sprint’s victory and Thailand’s Grand Prix to grab the maximum points.

It was not a smooth weekend for Bagnaia as it lost to Q2 after being blocked by Franco Morbidelli in practice. Bagnaia also struck racing officials, as it would have cut, if not for an unnecessary yellow flag that deletes its time.

Two -time MotoGP champion fought back to finish the third in Sprint and reiterated this finish in the main race. But it was more than two seconds behind Marquez, as he sacrificed little or no challenge to his teammate or his brother Alex Marquez in the second.

2025 MotoGP Thai Grand Prix Race results

Bagnaia looked beating after the race as Dalt was a “knockout hit” by Marquez. The former tries to regain the MotoGP title after the loss of Jorge Martin last year, while the latter may be equal to Valentino Rossi with seven Premier Class Championships.

After Thailand, Marquez clearly has the advantage in Ducati, as Bagnaia violates how the Spaniard took the upper hand.

Francesco Bagnaia was “embarrassed” by Marc Marquez’s strategy in Thailand’s Grand Prix

The only threat to Marquez’s victory in Thailand was a tire pressure issue in the early stages. Ducati’s rider was overcome by Gresini’s Alex Marquez before returning for the lead late.

Speaking through motorsport.com Italia, Riccardo CecCarelli claimed that Bagnaia was “embarrassed” by this strategy. Marquez could have thrown the gap even more to his teammate.

“I heard the comments of this strategy or Marquez or do a certain number of rounds behind his brother as if he were letting him pass and go back to a tire temperature issue for a pressure issue,” he said.

“However, what impressed me was Hey.

“Because in the end, if we look at the timer, it came to a gap content. However, it looked like it was a gap that could have the leg wider.

“It is clear that at the moment for Bagnaia, Marquez is a part of a test of value because he has won world championships.

“But the people I am convinced of that in front of a world champion, as I always say first of all, we welcome. We take our hats away and so what Bagnaia did in my opinion. It always remains a very level of work.

“However, it is clear that today you compare yourself to a rider who has made the story.”

Why did Francesco Bagnaia try to give up early Thai Grand Prix

Of course, Bagnaia aims to return to the top of MotoGP in 2025 with the defense of champion Jorge Martin, he was injured. However, he now has a strong opponent to reduce – and is now lagging behind.

The 28 -year -old’s body language after Buriram spoke tumors as he suffered an overwhelming defeat to Marquez. Bagnaia even tried to leave the press conference early as she was tired of the Marquez brothers.

Bagnaia acknowledged that another level was missing against Marquez in Thailand. The Italian must find another speed in Argentina and Austin – two more powerful pieces for the Spaniard.

Pol Espargaro warned Bagnaia to take into practice in practice against Marquez. The “pressure will start to boil” if it cannot bridge the gap in the 32 -year -old.
