Ai Ogura shares what he learned from Francesco Bagnaia after a battle at the Thai Grand Prix

Ai Ogura quickly became one of the standout riders in MotoGP. The recruitment produced an amazing weekend at the Grand Prix of Thailand.

Moto2 champion made an immediate impression on the Aprilia RS-GP25 in pre-season. Aprilia’s high -ranking staff was “so impressed” by Ogura through Sepang and Buriram with Trackhouse Racing.

The Japanese rider brought that momentum to the Grand Prix of Thailand. He finished a wonderful quarter in the Sprint match on Saturday behind Marc Marquez, Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia.

Sylvain Guintoli loves Ogura’s “incredible” show on Sprint. Colleagues MotoGP Rookies Fermin Aldeguer and Somkiat Chantra finished 13th and 19th respectively.

Many would not expect the 24 -year -old to make as strong or impact as he did. Neil Hodgson apologized to the trackhouse after thinking the team had been wrong by signing Ogura.

Ai Ogura learned from Francesco Bagnaia to be “smooth” after a battle at Thailand’s Grand Prix

The Japanese rider lined up fifth for the race on Sunday and found himself fighting Bagnaia again in the early stages.

Ogura finished the fifth behind Franco Morbidelli in another strong performance. Hodgson was “in love” with Ogura as he fought the rider VR46, feeling that he was behind him trying to make a move.

There will be many people who would expect Ogura to fight the biggest names in MotoGP only in his first race – and the Trackhouse rider would have learned a lot of it.

“This was really useful to me for today’s main match.

“So it was a good spot of the day.”

Jorge Martin will hate AI Ogura watching while he was injured

Ogura’s performance in Thailand will be a significant boost of confidence for Aprilia. The Noale -based manufacturer suffered a significant regression with Jorge Martin being blocked with an injury.

The defender champion suffered fractures in his right hand and left foot in the Sepang, finishing his pre-season before he really started. Duration of his recovery, Martin crushed a bicycle motorcycle in training from Thailand and Argentina.

Talks are the proposal that Martin could lose up to three months with his injury. While this is catastrophic for Aprilia, Ogura’s performance will be a sigh, as they have a rider – along with Marco Beeszecchi and Raul Fernandez – who can compete.

But Hodgson can’t imagine what Martin is thinking of watching Ogura. The performance of the Japanese rider was a look at what the April champion can achieve.
