Francesco Bagnaia shares ‘Truth’ about Alain Prost’s comparisons in the midst of rivalry Marc Marquez

Ducati’s 2025 MotoGP – Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez – design comparisons with Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Formula 1 legends participated in a bitter but virtual rivalry in McLaren in the late 1980s.

Senna joined McLaren in 1988 and immediately won the World Championship, beating his teammate with just three points. A year later, he offered his revenge in a way that remains controversial to this day.

Prost knew that a non-shower for both drivers in the Japanese Grand Prix, the penultimate race of the season, would confirm him as a champion. Surely, they locked dramatic wheels with just six rounds.

The Frenchman retired and believed that Senna returned to the track, was excluded because he needed a push by the Marshalls. Offered the title as results.

One of the big questions before the MotoGP era of 2025 is whether Ducati can maintain harmony in the garage. Marquez and Bagnaia have won eight first -class championships (six/two), making it one of the strongest combinations on paper.

But with this regime, the possibility of conflict comes. The two riders worked friendly this winter, as Ducati decided their engine for next year, but the relationship will really be tested when competitive action begins in Thailand this weekend.

Francesco Bagnaia insists it’s not like Alain Prost, as Marc Marquez takes the role of Ayrton Senna

Marquez sees the Senna/Prost comparison in Ducati and speaking Dazn’s Team Dream program, seemed to throw himself into the role of Brazil. He said he preferred the “character” of Senna that has seen the 2010 documentary.

Bagnaia accepted that most would regard it as the figure. After all, he is the established in Ducati, as the “professor” was in McLaren.

As his nickname suggests, Prost had a reputation as a deeply detailed thinker behind the steering wheel, while Senna was supposed to have led to emotion. While Dorna and MotoGP broadcasters may want a “war”, Bagnaia says that Neinder Rider wants this result.

Bagnaia says it is the same type of runner as Prost, who won four World Championships and 51 Grands Prix.

“It’s normal to compare more with Prost, but the truth is I’m not like Prost,” he said. “And, in any case, it wouldn’t be reasonable to start a war now. It’s non -productive and it’s not what I want, as I don’t think Marc Wagens.

Franco Morbidelli issues a verdict for the Ducati battle in front of Thailand Grand Prix

The presence of Valentino Rossi offers an additional tip in the Marquez/Bagnaia battle. While the “doctor” no longer competes in MotoGP, he remains present at Paddock through the ownership of the VR46.

He is also a close ally of Baganaia, having brought him through his academy. And there was strong hostility between Rossi and Marquez when competing in 2010.

Instead of speaking immediately, Bagnaia could ask Rossi to attract allies with Marquez this season. He insists that he is of little interest in playing such a mind games, but this is the title battle that begins.

Worryingly for Bagnaia, Franco Morbidelli says that Marquez looks like the fastest rider in front of the Thai Grand Prix. Even those in the Ducati Stable expect the 32 -year -old newcomer to start the season with the advantage.
