Jorge Martin has endured a nightmare to start the MotoGP era of 2025 after injuries and failures on his way to recovery.

The reigning champion suffered fractures in his right hand and the left foot just turns to his official Aprilia debut in the first test before the season at Sepang.

Martin was originally scheduled to return before the season by opening the Thai Grand Prix, but required further surgery after another drop.

It means he has lost the first two matches of the MotoGP season of 2025 and there is no guarantee that he will return to the end of the month for America’s Grand Prix.
