The defense of MotoGP champion Jorge Martin suffered a significant failure in his recovery. It will lose its opening season in Thailand this weekend.

The Spanish suffered a violent high side on the first day of testing before the season at Sepang. Martin had multiple fractures and called for immediate surgery.

He served an extension from the rest of the pre-season as he returned to Europe for his recovery. April had predicted that it would be ready for the Thai Grand Prix.

However, the 27 -year -old suffered a crash in training, with surgery for his injuries being successful. Martin will miss the opening season of the season at Buriram in what is a devastating blow to Aprilia and Spanard for his title defense,

Reserve Rider Lorenzo Savadori has been confirmed as his replacement. The Italians will fight with compatriot Marco Bezzecchi as they seem to be based on an encouraging pre-session.

Martin’s accident in Sepang caused a shift in Paddock. Marc Marquez described the crash as “very strange” as he found compact levels of traction in the circuit.

April excluded the wrong rider for the accident, not even a Martin bike issue. Instead, Massimo Rivola athletic director accused MotoGP tire supplier Michelin.

The tires they brought to Sepang were challenged by Aprilia, with Bezzecchi claiming that there were not enough shit for the tests. VR46 leader Alessio Salucci was “afraid” to try due to “useless” tires in Sepang that cause numerous crashes.

Michelin’s MotoGP manager, Piero Taramasso, is diverted by the tire supplier. He claimed that Martin surpassed his opponents before he collapsed.

With Martin crashing again and missing the first race, the relationship between Michelin and Aprilia is sure to break. MotoGP commentator Keith Huewen wonders this exact thing.

April will be desperate for Martin to return to the track as soon as possible. But doctors have discovered a worrying issue.

Martin has broken more than his left hand – a “particularly annoying” issue that could see the champion outrageous for a longer period of time.

Aprilia had hoped that Martin would be complete by Jerez, but after this last failure, this timetable was probably shifted.
