It was a frustrating start for the 2025 MotoGP era for Pedro Acosta. The young feeling could only manage the P19 after a crash in the round four.

KTM had serious question marks during their season with their desperate financial situation. Referring to debts of about $ 2 billion, he was afraid that the MotoGP program would be affected.

Acosta’s speed was so good that according to Adam Wheeler via Podcast Paddock Pass, his crew told him after his Pacer match would bring him to the top five that had not collapsed.

“Mir also said that Honda’s driving today was the most unpleasant experience he ever had on a motorcycle simply because the bike burns him so much,” Wheeler said.

“And I think he also explained why he had a relatively slow crash in turn 12 and just left the thing. There was no chance of getting what was a very hot potato.

“Unlike Pedro Acosta, who jumped straight back to KTM and put a pace in the back of the field he later informed him he might have moved him to the first five.”

KTM can have a ‘huge problem’ for the 2025 season

Acosta’s crash at the Grand Prix summed up a very miserable weekend for KTM. Binder’s teammate managed the best finish of the eighth for the manufacturer in Buriram.

Mat Oxley is afraid that KTM has a “huge problem” as Binder reported the duration of vibrations. This was an issue with bike last year, but Acosta and Binder do not bring the problem when they are challenged by the media.

The Tech3 Enea Bastianini rider simply finished Binder in ninth after a good recovery from a horrible sprint. The Italian struggles to adjust his riding style to RC16 after leaving Ducati.

Maverick Vinales teammate was fading on the P16, as he could not find any performance on the weekend. Vinales wants to analyze the front tire to see if it gave Bastianini an extra pace by turning the Grand Prix.
