The 2025 MotoGP season of the Francesco Bagnaia has begun a devastating start. Ducati’s rider failed to reach Q2 for the Thai Grand Prix.

The 28 -year -old is one of the clear favorites for the championship in 2025 with Marc Marquez. Bagnaia won 11 of the 20 games last year, but lost Jorge Martin with just 10 points.

Moving on to the Thai GP, the Italian was expected to surpass the field after showing that Ducati was still the team that would win in the pre-season. The Bologna -based team will run with the 2024 engine on the GP25, or “GP24.9” as Bagnaia puts it.

At 60 minutes on Friday, it was Alex Marquez who overcame the timing for Gresini with brother Marc Marquez just five-Hundths of a second Be GO. Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzecchi have shown many promising signs for KTM and Aprilia in the third and fourth respectively.

Franco Morbidelli, Joan Mir, Raul Fernandez, Fabio Quartararo, Ai Ogura and Johann Zarco completed the top 10, earning a point in the Q2 on Saturday. Bagnaia was the remarkable absence, as it could only manage the 13th.
