Maverick Vinales and Eneaa Bastianini made his debut for Tech3 as KTM factory riders at the Grand Prix of 2025 after moving to satellite outfit for the new MotoGP season.
But the Buriram race was not a positive event for both pilots, as it was their new life in Orange. While Bastianini came home to P9 as the second best KTM rider in the Thai GP, just behind the work of the Runner Brad Binder, all that Vinales would secure was P16 and out of points.
Pedro Acosta also failed to score points in his debut with the factory’s KTM team on the P19, after the Spaniard crashed as the rear of his RC16 was unloaded under the brake in the first turn on the 26th round.

Bastianini’s improved performance in Thai GP will encourage KTM and Tech3 that do not match well with the RC16 since they left the Ducati Crew plant. Its result in sprint on Saturday also left Neil Hodgson, who was afraid that Bastianini was facing a “long year” adapting to a new bike.
However, Bastianini was a man who was born again on Sunday to leave Vinales looking for answers about why Tech3’s rider could not remain. The Italian was one of the fastest pilots in the middle of the Thai GP as it increased from P16 to L14 to claim ninth place with two rounds to run.
