Pedro Acosta made a nice move to Brad Binder, the KTM teammate and the sixth place. He also passed Fabio Quartararo (P7) in one of the few parts of the second half of the match.
Binder crossed the eighth line, with Joan Mir marking the last point for Honda. Mir has been rejuvenated in Buriram in a refreshing RC16.

While Marquez won the debut in an ominous statement of intention and his brother defeated the Bagnaia factory rider, Ogura was definitely the standout in the sprint. The expectation was that it would take time to adjust.
