
The 2025 MotoGP season is officially underway in the Grand Prix of Thailand, but Sylvain Guintoli has already noted a “problem” for Aprilia that will affect Marco Bezzecchi.
Before the season tests are being made and dusting and the races are now on the horizon in Buriram, as Aprilia is looking to bounce after a disappointing campaign during the last term. But their hopes of improving last year’s unique Grand Prix, a premature blow with Jorge Martin, excluded the Thai GP.
Martin will also lose the Grand Prix of Argentina after suffering, but also reduce in his attempt to recover from splitting his right hand and left foot in the Sepang test in time for the Thai GP. The absence of the champion of 2024 now lets Bezzecchi lead Aprilia to Buriram.

Aprilia has two new riders in their garage this year after hiring Martin and Bezzecchi to take over from Aleix Espargaro plus Maverick Vinales for the era of 2025. The testing rider of Italian equipment Lorenzo Savadori has entered for the injured Martin for the time.
The Thai GP was one of Aprilia’s sausage weekends in the last term, as Raul Raul Fernandez was the highest rider on the RS-GP bike in the Sprint race on P14. Vinales was the best Aprilia rider in 2024 Thailand GP in P7, though 8,498 seconds from the lead.

Vinales endured equally torrid to the 2023 Thai GP after the Tech3 Now-KTM star withdrawn from the main event in the 23 or 26 rounds due to the heat from the Aprilia bike. And Guintoli is afraid of Bezzecchi and Savadori at 2025 Thai GP, as Aprilia’s heat issue is still a problem.
Guintoli explained Tnt sports 2 (28/02, 08:04): “This was a very problem last year. The riders, sometimes, had to get out of the race. So they had really big problems.
“All these bicycles are hot. You think you get the wind and cooled by the wind, but it doesn’t happen at all. The engine is there and the hot air blows right on your face.
“Always hide from the wind. Once the riders get in a straight line to take their heads down.
“So, you have to be careful with conditions, moisturizing and bikes, too. Technicians try to improve air flow, but for Aprilia, it’s still a problem! So Aprilia riders will be very hot this weekend.
